There has been frost on the ground up at Rabbit Ears Pass more than once this week and the temperatures are dropping quickly. We hope for a few more weeks of warm weather and then we promise we’ll be ready to embrace fall.
If you promised yourself you were going to try stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) this summer but you haven’t made it out, don’t worry there’s still time. We have added two extra SUPs to our fleet so feel free to come out with a group or come out solo and explore Stagecoach Lake and everything we have to offer!

					Fantastic Guided Fishing Tour We had a fantastic time on a sunset fishing trip with our guide, Richard Robinson. We were an adult family of 5 (3 adults in their 20’s-30’s and 2 seniors 60’s-70’s). We were on vacation together from Georgia and NYC. Rich’s boat was very clean and in good condition. None of us were experienced fishermen, and Rich was very patient and helpful as he showed us different fishing techniques and equipment. We were only doing catch and release and just enjoying being out on a quiet lake and enjoying the evening. Rich has decades of experience and shared lots of amusing and entertaining stories. 4 of us caught fish but we all had a blast. He moved us to several different locations around the large lake and changed our poles as the light conditions changed to maximize our success. It was full dark by the time he took us back to the marina. We had a great experience and highly recommend Rich and Steamboat Springs Guided Fishing Tours and Boat Rentals.

					Good times on Stagecoach with Pontoon Boat Great morning on the lake.  The staff was super friendly and helpful.  The Boat was very clean, including the grill that we ended up cooking on.  Lots of room to roam and cruise around the lake for a couple of hours.

					Great time Had a great time on a 4 hour pontoon boat rental. Had 10 people which was the covid limit. Cooked sausages and hot dogs with the provided grill. Lots of fun diving off the boat, swimming and cruising the lake. Lots of birds including white pelicans,

Canadian geese, sea gulls and ducks.

					Great boats and great employees At the Marina, Amy was fantastic as she welcomed us and made sure that we had everything we needed.  The pontoon boat that we rented was in great shape and beautiful.  The lake was very nice and we were so looking forward to grilling our lunch on the boat just as a major rainstorm swept through the mountains.  We waited patiently for it to pass and then went back to the Marina to talk to Amy and were told that the chance of rain would last most of the afternoon.  We decided to scrap the day and Amy told us that she would check with the owner to see if a refund could be made.  We ended up getting a very nice and fair refund (which was most appreciated) and this left us with a very favorable impression of the staff and owner.  All in all I wish we could have had the whole day as we were looking forward a full day on the boat.  We will definitely come back to Stagecoach Marina and rent again... Thanks Amy and Company....

					Terrific day on Stagecoach Lake What a wonderful day on Stagecoach Lake in a pontoon boat with three family couples! We really had a beautiful time grilling on the boat, swimming in the lake, and cruising along enjoying the scenic beauty.

					Experience of a lifetime! We took our three boys fishing with Rich last week. We are worse than novice fishers, but our boys had the experience of a lifetime as we all took turns catching several fish a piece on our three hour tour. Rich was kind, patient, attentive. He was exactly what our crew needed. Even better, we didn't have to lift a finger if we didn't want to, but even mom felt like she learned a thing or two!

					Peaceful, great time on the reservoir - get a guide! We've rented pontoon boats twice - once on our own with friends and once with a fishing guide for a company retreat. Both times were stress free, easy, and the boats are very nice. (Having a grill onboard is amazing.)



Rich and Sean were our guides for the company retreat and I just want to say GET A GUIDE! It is affordable, money well spent. Even if you don't want to fish, the guides can drive and tell you about the reservoir and the area. I think we'll pretty much always do the guide-adder.

					Perfect for a Day on the Lake We rent a pontoon boat here every summer and let me tell you, it's the best!! The rental process is always smooth, they make sure you have everything you need for a day on the lake and take the time to inform you on boat safety and operations. You can really tell that it's a family-owned business. We love that the pontoon boats come with a propane grill for on-the-water goodies, too! Docking is super easy. They help with that whole process. I'd give them 10 stars if I could and can't wait for next year!

					Great Boat Day Seamless from first booking to final docking. The communication is clear, if you fill out your forms ahead of time the check in is easy, and the boats are brand new (as of 2021). We had an absolute blast on the water, and the built in grills are awesome (as long as it’s not windy). The staff is helpful to get you on the water as safely and quickly as possible as well as very helpful bringing you back into the dock. I highly recommend!!

					Day on the lake I was with a larger group who were celebrating a special occasion. They event hosted some water sports and kayaking which was an absolute blast! In addition we had the opportunity to do a guided fishing tour witch was also great. Our guide brought us to the best spots around the lake and we were able to catch a few different kinds of fish, all the while enjoying the views of the beautiful mountains that surround the lake.

					Steamboat Springs Boat Rentals Stagecoach Reservoir in Steamboat Springs is a mostly undiscovered park with camp grounds, picnic areas, a beach and a marina.  One can rent a 20' pontoon boat with a sound system and grill that accommodates 8 people easily.  Having  dinner on the boat while cruising around the reservoir in the evening watching the setting sun is a treat.   I have taken a pontoon boat on Stagecoach Reservoir multiple times and the outing never ceases to be enjoyable.  This time our boat had a few minor mechanical issues, but nothing that prevented us from going out on the reservoir.  If I could make one change it would be the hours the boats are available.  It is hard to squeeze in the briefing, boating, dinner and returning to the marina by 7 pm.  Can the staff be available until even 8 in the summer?

The boats are really quick to get on once you get to the marina and the boats are in really nice condition. 					This is not a tour, it’s an experience! Warning: this is not a guided fishing tour, it’s an experience! 



Together with my best friend from childhood, once a year we try to travel to a new place and seek out new activities we haven’t done before. Skiing is great, but it’s the offbeat activities that create lifelong memories while on vacation for us.



Recommended by Moving Mountains, we reserved and met Tom, Sean, and Rich down on the ice around noon where everything was set up and ready to rock. You can do as much or as little actual fishing as you choose.



But more impressive, and frankly more memorable, was the infectious enthusiasm, expertise, and attention to service that our guides offered. It felt like hanging out with the three coolest dudes in town. Like we were living out retirement dreams… in current day.



We also caught a ton of fish, but what I’d encourage you to do upon reading this is to recognize how special memories are made: with people you adore in a setting that is right. These moments are priceless and when you can find a tour that cultivates them, you set the hook!

					Another great time at the lake We had such a great time renting a pontoon boat from Stagecoach Reservoir Marina.  The boat was great and in great condition.  The service was very good and all the people working there were so friendly, especially Tom.   Would definitely recommend this place.  This was our second time and we plan to be back next year.  We also rented fishing gear and stand up paddle boards.  The kids had a great time and so did dad.

					Great service and great shop I only used the store not the rentals but the customer service was top notch; the store was social distanced and the employees used masks; I was looking for decaf coffee, i know I was probably the only one lol; they didn't have any on the shelf so the manager said he would pick some up for me on his supply pick up...and he did! 					Great Service - Beautiful Place Spent the day with my friends and my dog on one of their new pontoon boats. The boats are spotless, you can grill with them and the people were super friendly. They also had paddle boards, kayaks and canoes, which we plan on using next time we come out. There is a fee to get into the state park.

					Outstanding Experience! First, I researched ice-fishing guides for weeks, so my Steamboat birthday would be extra special. Save yourself time and book with these guys b/c they are the best in the area!! We booked our morning ice-fishing trip with Tom. We climbed onto his snowmobile and headed toward the lake. The heated tent, fishing poles, and hot coffee were waiting for us as we arrived. Tom gave us a quick lesson on how to fish for rainbow trout and soon a big one was on the line! We fished inside and outside the tent with fish finders, which were extremely helpful to see the fish below. Tom was the best! He was prepared with everything we needed to catch fish and create a memory for us that would last a lifetime. We caught lots of fish and took some home for dinner that night! I highly recommend these guys. I can't wait to come back!!

					FUN FUN FUN we rented a pontoon for 2 hours on a Saturday. the reservation process was simple, the instructions were easy and the boat ride was amazing. They are super laid back and make the rental process very easy and smooth. The only issue we had was the people who rented the boat ahead of us were running late so we ended up getting a later start than we planned (but only by 15 minutes). our reservation was extended by 15 minutes so it worked out fine

					Awesome Trip! Last week I had a get together where friends from all over the country came into town. We worked with Tom and his team to arrange guided fishing and boat rentals. The boats were clean, and brand new. Even though the weather in the afternoon wasn’t great Rich (our guide) knew all the spots to make sure we could pull up some fish. The staff at the docks and in the store were very polite and eager to help our group out! Chase and Daisy expertly guided the boats in and out of the docks and answered all of our questions. Five stars. These folks don’t disappoint. Can’t wait to go back!

					Great Fishing at Stagecoach Marina Tom and Shaun were fantastic with my two grandsons, son and son-in-law.  We caught over a dozen Rainbows with 5 being very large. 					Great Experience Our generational family of five had the most wonderful day at the lake with "Captain" Shaun as our driver and fishing guide.  The boat was clean and newish and we had plenty of space.  Shaun was the best and most accommodating fishing guide that we have ever had and we have had many guides before.  He was especially patient and kind to our three year old.  It was the best thing we did when we stayed in Steamboat Springs.  Highly recommend.

					Beautiful views and boat After living here for over 20 years we decided to finally rent a pontoon boat at Stagecoach reservoir and what an incredible day it turned out to be!! We had 6 adults and 6 children, we had tons of space to relax as the kids swam and paddle boarded from the boat.  The boat itself seemed like it was brand new and was super clean, we had a barbecue on deck and enjoyed burgers and chicken throughout the day.  The staff helped us carry our stuff to the boat and gave us detailed instructions on how everything worked and also the safety features.  Would definitely recommend to all locals and people visiting.  Thank you!

					Stagecoach reservoir Captain Rich and his First mate Daniel took us trolling for Lake Trout   It was a great time and we caught our limit. They were very knowledgeable and excellent crew and truly 2 of the nicest guys we have ever fished with and being from Minnesota, we fish a lot. They made our stay in Steamboat very memorable. 					Great family fun!!!! We had an AWESOME time ice fishing with Shawn and Rich!  Absolutely the best fishing experience we have had in the mountains!  My 2 boys caught over 25 fish and never a dull moment!  We had great weather but tents were available if needed. Plenty of Oreos and hot chocolate were provided!Great conversations and plenty of fun!  We will be back for sure!

					Super helpful employees that  made this a great experience We rented a full day pontoon boat. We had 18 members of the family. We could only go half at a time, but had plenty of time to enjoy the water. The guides were so helpful, helping us leave and return to the dock. They were there immediately when we showed up to trade out passengers. I would highly recommend this, even for inexperienced boaters. We will go back next year!

					FANTASTIC CREW!!! This crew helped provide us some of the best memories of our weekend. Got to the marina and we were immediately welcomed by Tom with a smile. Quickly had my paperwork ready to go for our boat rental and chatted us up a bit. Made it down to the dock and immediately had staff members waiting for us ready to head to out to our boat. Quick safety walk through then one of their guides even caught us before we headed out to give us a quick rundown on where the pike and trout were each hitting lately. Had a great day out on the water, caught some fish, and again were met by smiling staff to help us unload for the day. 10/10…100%….EXCELLENT😊😊

					Our family's best fishing adventure My adult kids said this was the best fishing trip our family has ever had.  The grandkids had a blast and we caught so many fish!  In fact, we ate those delicious rainbow trout for dinner tonight.  I would HIGHLY recommend Steamboat Springs Boat Rentals at Stagecoach Marina.  It is such a short drive from Steamboat.  The captain was great with my young grandchildren (ages 8,6,4) and made it really fun for them.  He was excellent at dealing with children (he's a grandpa).  His assistant Hoyt was so helpful and really helped everyone.  This was money well spent.  It's just not fun to go fishing and not catch anything, and that is what happens when we have tried to go out on our own.  Nice safe boat.

					Amazing Place! The boats were great! My family and I  went here for a day out on the boat, we had no idea just how amazing the day would be. The people in the store and down on the docks were so amazing and made all of us smile and laugh. The store had very cute paintin gs for sale and the whole place was so pretty. Our boat looled brand new and the owner was very interactive and always there to  help out. I highly recommend you make this your next destination.

					Best day fishing with Rich! Our family had the best afternoon fishing with Rich! He was so friendly and helpful setting everyone up, finding the best areas to fish and assisting with all of our catches. We caught 4 beautiful rainbow trout and had several more on our lines. Rich showed my 10 year older son how to clean the fish and we brought them home and cooked them for dinner. Looking forward to going back either yet this Fall or in the winter for ice fishing. 					Great party boat! Our reservations were handled promptly but the gal behind the counter and got us on our way quickly.  two of our party were into fishing which they di for the first hour or so, catching a few and releasing them.  We then broke out the grill and prepared hamburgers for the six of us.  The lake is thick with algae which was a disappointment for us as we had looked forward to swimming from the boat.  There are no facilities on the lake that we were allowed to access which meant going back to the check in to use the rest rooms.

					Great fishing trip! We completely enjoyed this fishing trip! Our guide was Hoyt and we did a sunset fishing cruise. He was super friendly, shared his knowledge of the area, and kept everything going on time. We were a party of 6 and everyone caught fish. We had two people catch at the same time and he wrangled it all. Will definitely go again and would highly recommend.

					Another Great Time On Stagecoach Lake! Once again we had a great time on the pontoon boat at Stagecoach Lake.
